The Maine Department of Transportation and Maine Bureau of Highway Safety have published updated crash and other safety data that defines the major transportation safety issues facing our state today. The reported data and trends are intended to help safety stakeholders make informed decisions on programs and activities designed to improve transportation safety in Maine as well as to inform the public about current highway safety issues. These areas reflect the focus areas that Maine’s Strategic Highway Safety Plan addresses.
